DNP TR4500 mid range Near Edge ribbon is formulated specifically for Near Edge high speed printers (or also known as corner edge, hot release printers).
Near Edge printers are currently offered by printer makers such as Toshiba, Avery and a few others. Regular Flat Head ribbons cannot work on Near Edge printers.
Near Edge printers are able to print at much higher speeds as they work differently from typical Flat Head printers. A different ink formulation is required.
TR4500 is the preferred media choice of Near Edge printers due to its wide versatility on different label stocks.
Back in history, TR4500 was not only the first Near Edge ribbon developed specially for Near Edge printers that works, it was also the first Near Edge ribbon to receive official approval from Near Edge printer makers!!
